Welcome to Makeup Monday, where I will share with you all of my makeup favorites. Somedays I may only share one product and somedays I may do a full tutorial.
Today I have done a little of both. Last week I wore this makeup look twice! The product I would really like to highlight on would be the Charlotte Tilbury Eyeshadow that my friend, Katey, gifted to me probably three years ago that I still love and use. So there are little sparkles in the one I have and whenever Aniston, my 3 1/2 year old daughter, sees me with it she says, “ooo Mom (because all of a sudden she calls me mom and not Mommy… 😭 ) your eyes are so pretty!” and it just feeds my soul.
I am sort of addicted to self tanners. I just think they help with all the things; whiter teeth, blonder hair, better complexion, skinny body…. etc, etc. I use these Tan Luxe Drops in my Tula Moisturizer, just 1-3 drops in my palm mix together and apply. I do this about twice a week.
I have started doing my brows, eyeshadow, then foundation. But on this day I guess because I was recording I did things a little out of order.
So for my brows I used this pencil from Mac. It’s actually not a pencil it’s one of the roll ups, so no worries about sharpening. I do the tail first and then small strokes to mimic my brows. I like a messier brow than a super defined. But, for under my brow I do take Tarte Shape Concealer and this brush to underline my brows and blend down onto my lid to act as a “primer” for my eyeshadow.
For my eyeshadow I used Too Faced Natural Lust Eyeshadow palette and I used shade Call Me Back and Silk Robe. Just filled my lid with the first color in a windshield wiper motion and took the nude color and put on the top and inside.
Next I take this yummy smelling contouring palette, by Tarte. Yes, this product smells AH-Mazing. I was doing both my younger sisters’ makeup a few weekends ago while we were in my cousin’s wedding, both of them, “that smells so good like vanilla.. what is it?” It’s like frosting on your face! I mix the top lighter pieces with this brush and then press them into my under eye. If my circles are darker I use more of the yellow color. Then depending on how I’m feeling I may use one or all of the dark colors, normally not the shimmery one. I contour from my ear to the sinks of my cheeks, top sides of my forehead (like where you would recede, and under my chin. You can make a number 3 with these three spots, connecting all your bronzer. I use this brush to bronze with.
I used Tarte blush in shade paaaarty, but I couldn’t find that shade anymore so I linked similar here. I used a brush similar to this. Concentrating on cheek bone and blending right above the bronzer you just put on.
I got this highlighter in a stocking last year and I cannot find it but here’s one similar. I use the lightest shade or nude shade and do small c’s with this brush around the outside of my eyes and bridge of my nose.
Now for the magic product!!! Find yourself a brush like this, just an eyeliner shadow brush, something to smear the line. Take the Charlotte Tilbury Chameleon Eyeshadow Pencil and draw a line just like you were doing eyeshadow on the top lid and then take the brush and smear it up until you have achieved the look you are wanting. The cool thing about this product is there are so many different colors. The one I have says it’s for blue eyes but anyone could wear it! There is this Amethyst colored one that would look so pretty on someone with green eyes, I’m considering ordering.
I take Charlotte Tilbury Eyeliner in Universal Nude for my bottom waterline. This helps open your eye up, making it appear bigger.
Finishing with mascara. I do several layers of mascara. I like my lashes to look full.
Here is the whole video tutorial of the makeup look.
I hope you like this. I enjoy sharing tips and tricks even if it just helps one person. Tag me on Instagram if you try this look I would love to see it!!
